I abhor political parties, and once again, they have given me agita. The political class in our local Democratic party seems to find that County Commissioner Lindsay Mollineaux is a little less tractable than they had banked on. She won’t rubber-stamp their agenda, so they are running a candidate to try to unseat her.
STOP THE STEAL
I urge you to vote for Lindsay Mollineaux for County Commissioner in the primary on May 21.
You can vote early at the old courthouse basement during business hours. The Democratic primary is open to any registered voter, regardless of party affiliation. Just ask for the Democratic ballot.1
Lindsay Mollineaux is an OUTSTANDING CANDIDATE for County Commissioner, and we must vote in the primary to keep her in the seat.
Lindsay grew up in the Wood River Valley and went to college at Brown University, graduating with a degree in economics. She worked for the International Monetary Fund, the Federal Reserve Bank and the City of New York under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. SHE CAN DO MATH (an unusual trait for a Blaine County elected official).
Lindsay brought this experience home. After working with Kraay's, she worked for the City of Ketchum and then served as Executive Director of the Environmental Resource Center in Ketchum. She has the enthusiastic support of that organization's board Chair, Kingsley Murphy, as you can see in his letter to the editor, as well as ERC co-founder Ann Christensen, who voiced her support in this compelling letter to the editor.
Lindsay was nominated to fill the seat along with two others by the Blaine County Democrats, and after the interviews with the Governor, she was appointed to fill the seat.2 She left her role at the Environmental Resource Center and, in just these short months has shown that she has the experience, dedication, and leadership skills we need. SHE WILL NOT JUST GO WITH THE FLOW.
Lindsay is improving the County's finances, using her fiscal experience to protect taxpayer dollars and ensure performance metrics for County services. THIS IS AN UPHILL BATTLE, AND WE NEED HER AS OUR CHAMPION.
Lindsay is protecting our quality of life using her environmental experience to advocate for our natural resources and uphold the County Comprehensive Plan as a living guiding document.
Lindsay brings transparency and accountability, and we need her leadership! Learn more about Lindsay on her website, and you can endorse her here.
VOTE FOR LINDSAY MOLLINEAUX!
I am also voting for the Blaine County Schools levy as our schools desperately need the additional funding.
