PSA: P&Z Meeting TOMORROW on Washington Lot: 4:30 City Hall
Please add your voice to those calling for a pause!
Despite overwhelming opposition from the community and local businesses, the Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency is pushing full steam ahead with its plan for the permanent destruction of $5mm in public parking assets and replacing the Washington Lot with a 4-story, lot-line-to-lot line housing project.
There are still a few points in its development process where the Community can stop it. Tomorrow is one. But only if we turn out to oppose it.
This notice was published on Nextdoor by the Ketchum Business Advisory Coalition.
Thank you for your support of the Ketchum Business Advisory Coalition's efforts to pause development of the Washington St. lot until the new P&Z Codes and Comprehensive Plan has been passed by Planning and Zone and Ketchum City Council.
To date, 1,424 signatures have been collected between online and paper petitions. This information was shared with KURA on August 4th. We plan to continue collecting signatures over the next few weeks before formally presenting petition information to the KURA.
We wanted to let you know about an important upcoming meeting related to this project:

We get the government we let them do to us.
Would it be useful to have a large sign made that states "Against This Project" and then have all of us who are opposed gather near the sign?
It is my understanding that all of the "affordable" units on the 2nd floor are dedicated to the Limelight Hotel... is this true, and if so, by what mechanism. What about all the people on the LIST who have been waiting for YEARS?!
And WHY is PARKING never adequately addressed with all these new projects?
